Keep in mind that an elopement ceremony is slighyl different than a normal wedding.
It is shorter and less formal. However here is the basic outline of the ceremony.
Minister thanks family and friends for being present, welcomes them on your behalf.
The Blessing or Prayer: (OPTIONAL)
This creates a sacred space for the ceremony to begin.
This is the place where parents present their children to be wed and gives the family's blessings!
The Exchange of Vows:
Your vows are your promises to each other. You may repeat the familiar "to have and to hold, for better or for worse" vows, or recite ones you've written yourselves.
The Ring Exchang:
As you exchange rings, you typically say, "With this ring, I thee wed."
The Close of the Ceremony
The I Do's:
Yep the two words everyone wants to say!
The Pronouncement of Marriage:
Minister makes it official ("I now pronounce you husband and wife").
And now the moment everyone's been waiting for, your first kiss as a married couple.
The Recessional: Basically the reverse of the processional, you exit the ceremony together as husband and wife, followed by the wedding party.
